1,000 peniaga di Kelantan terima dinar, dirham

KOTA BHARU 12 Ogos - Kerajaan Kelantan hari ini melancarkan matawang syariah dinar dan dirham Kelantan yang digunakan sebagai alternatif kepada mata wang sedia ada.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat berkata, mata wang syariah tersebut boleh digunakan di kira-kira 1,000 buah kedai dan restoran di sekitar bandar ini untuk transaksi perniagaan.

Beliau berkata, penggunaan dinar dan dirham sebagai alternatif kepada Ringgit Malaysia (RM) tidak bertentangan dengan undang-undang dan ia dirangka mengikut peruntukan peraturan yang disediakan oleh Bank Negara.

"Mata wang syariah ini hanya pilihan kepada orang ramai untuk menggunakannya, tetapi ia juga untuk menunjukkan kepada dunia bahawa Islam mempunyai mata wang sendiri untuk perdagangan.

"Sejarah juga membuktikan bahawa dinar emas dan dirham perak tidak akan terjejas dengan inflasi sehingga menjejaskan ekonomi negara.

"Sebagai contoh, pada zaman Rasulullah SAW, harga seekor ayam kira-kira RM13, lebih kurang harga seekor ayam pada masa sekarang," katanya kepada pemberita selepas melancarkan mata wang syariah, dinar dan dirham di Pusat Dagangan Kelantan (KTC) di sini hari ini.

Turut hadir Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Kelantan Golden Trade Sdn. Bhd., Prof. Dr. Umar Ibrahim Vadillo; Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perancangan Ekonomi, Kewangan dan Kebajikan negeri, Datuk Husam Musa dan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Islam, Pendidikan dan Dakwah negeri, Datuk Mohd. Amar Nik Abdullah.

Nik Abdul Aziz berkata, sebagai simbolik pelancaran mata wang syariah itu, gaji CEO Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan (PMBK) akan dibayar dengan menggunakan emas dinar.

"Buat masa sekarang kita belum ada perancangan untuk membayar gaji kakitangan awam dengan mata wang syariah tetapi saya amat bersetuju sekiranya usaha ke arah itu dibuat sekarang.

"Bermula tahun ini, orang ramai boleh membayar zakat dengan dinar emas dan dirham perak, sebelum ini kita tidak ada kesempatan kerana ia belum dilaksanakan lagi," katanya.

Sementara itu, Husam berkata, pengeluaran dinar dan dirham Kelantan mengikut standard piawai yang ditetapkan oleh Pengeluar Syiling Dunia Islam (Wolrd Islamic Mint).

"Dalam Islam standard telah dibuat oleh Saidina Umar iaitu satu dinar emas 22 karat iaitu 4.5 gram kenapa 22 karat bukannya 24 karat sebab ia wang yang digunakan setiap hari untuk tahan lasak dia akan tambah logam lain tetapi berat masih 4.5 gram, bagi dirham pula tujuh dirham bersamaan dengan satu dinar.

"Pengeluaran kita sebanyak RM2 juta sebelum ini telah habis dan kita akan mencetak setiap hari bagi memenuhi permintaan yang semakin meningkat," katanya.

KUALA LUMPUR - A MALAYSIAN state on Thursday launched the Islamic dinar and dirham as an alternative currency, allowing the golden and silver coins to be used as legal tender alongside conventional banknotes.

Authorities in northern Kelantan state, which is ruled by the Islamic opposition party PAS, said the Islamic currencies would be used in many shops in the state in addition to the national currency, the ringgit.

'We have over 1,000 shops that have signed up to our campaign and agreed to accept the dinar and dirham for the purchase of goods,' state cabinet minister Husam Musa told AFP. He said signboards have been erected in the main market in the state capital Kota Bharu to show the conversion table between the dinar and ringgit, and participating shops will display stickers to encourage people to use the coins.

'The response has been very positive and all the coins which were worth a total of 2.0 million ringgit (S$857,900) have been sold out at the launch today,' said Mr Husam, who is in charge of economic and finance planning.

According to Islamic law, the dinar measures 4.25 grams of gold, while the dirham is 3.0 grams of pure silver. A golden coin is equivalent to about 582 ringgit (183 dollars) while the silver coin is worth around 13 ringgit but their values fluctuate according to market prices.

Mr Husam said the dinar and dirham currencies can also be used dealings with state goverment agencies, such as paying 'zakat', or alms for the poor. -- AFP

State cabinet minister Husam Musa says the first batch of gold and silver coins, worth 2 million ringgit have been sold out at its launch.

He says over a thousand shops have agreed to accept the dinar and dirham for the purchase of goods.

Mr Husam says the dinar and dirham can also be used when dealing with state goverment agencies.

Attempts to introduce the coins as legal tender nationally have been shot down by the federal government.

Ossia quando uno di questi gruppi, il Muamalah Council, ha in programma di attuare il sistema del dinaro nello stato settentrionale della Malesia di Kelantan. Se si può credere alle informazioni sul suo sito internet, il council avrebbe il benestare del governo islamico dello stato, Parti Islam SeMalaysia (Pas), per introdurre il dinaro in tre mosse. Tuttavia il 12 agosto non è il momento di festeggiare, ma piuttosto il momento del Tauba, Tauba per tutti noi senza eccezioni, perché tutti noi abbiamo permesso al Deen dell’Islam, il dono più prezioso che ci è stato dato, di uscire dalle nostre vite sostituendolo con un monoteismo puritano primitivo incentrato sulla sessualità, sul codice di abbigliamento femminile e sul pollo halal, una religione che Umar Pasha Vadillo chiama Protestantesimo islamico. Sì, prima del 12 agosto e specialmente il 12 agosto dobbiamo piegare la testa sul tappeto di preghiera con un lungo sajdah e chiedere perdono ad Allah Subhanatu per aver lasciato che l’usura, il crimine più abominevole, diventasse parte della nostra esistenza quotidiana, perché i nostri grandi Ulemi in passato non avrebbero mai tollerato nemmeno una banca nelle loro terre, per non parlare di dichiararla halal, perché realmente credevano che il “dirham dell’usura è 36 volte peggio dell’adulterio”. E ci sono tuttora Ulemi che non accettano compromessi con il Deen, l’anno scorso Umar Pasha Vadillo ha detto in una delle sue lezioni nel Kazakhstan: “una banca sulla tua strada è peggio che la prostituzione nella tua stessa famiglia!”. Quindi è il momento di comprendere quanto ci siamo discostati dal Deen e quanto urgentemente dobbiamo tornare indietro. Il 12 agosto non è la fine, ma l’inizio del nostro affare poiché la valuta della Shariah è il primo elemento da sistemare, subito seguito dal secondo elemento, il Souq (mercato islamico) che a sua volta richiederà che tutti gli altri elementi della Muamalat islamica entrino in gioco, portando quindi ad un intero cambiamento paradigmatico su ciò che è il denaro, il commercio, la ricchezza, l’investimento - e su ciò che non lo è. Alla cerimonia saranno presenti molti ospiti: accanto ai ministri capo di svariati stati malesi, ci saranno ufficiali del governo del sultanato di Sulu, dell’Indonesia, del Pakistan, della Turchia, oltre ai leader di varie jama’as ed organizzazioni dalla Germania, dalla Spagna, dal Kazakhstan ed altri paesi. KELANTAN DINAR AND DIRHAM HAVE ARRIVED

For most of Malaysians the morning on Tuesday, 8^th June 2010, was just another morning in their existence - monotonous run on the capitalist treadmill - nothing extraordinary indeed: the same tropical weather (+32C) outside, same sickening news in the media, same interest rates, same order of the day.

But for the people of Kelantan this morning was very special: on the 8^th June 2010 at 11am the box with the set of the first gold dinars and silver dirhams of the State of Kelantan arrived to Kuala Lumpur from the World Islamic Mint, Dubai. Sending the sample coins is the standard procedure in minting industry, the main lot will follow just in a matter of days.

Although Kelantan government first minted gold dinars in 2006, the new coins have a new reality because:

• This is the first time when not just gold dinar but also silver dirham has been minted;
• This is the very first time the Kelantan dinars and dirhams are minted in accordance with the international standard which is set by World Islamic Trade Organization (WITO) and monitored by World Islamic Mint (WIM); 99% of all dinars & dirhams minted worldwide in the last 20 years is the work of WIM, hence the new Kelantan coins – the reverse side of the coins bear the logo of WIM while on the obverse is coat of arms and name of Kelantan Government – have international status and acceptance among millions of muslim and non-muslim users around the world;
• This is also the first time when the coins are minted in all denominations: Dinar – ½, 1, 2, 5, 8; Dirham – 1, 2, 5, 10, 20;
• Unlike before this time the new coins will be distributed to public throughout the state of Kelantan under homogenized pricing scheme and proportionate value between denominations;
• And most significantly, this is the first time when all state companies in Kelantan will accept the Islamic coins as well as 600 shops (in the first phase) displaying the sticker “We Choose Dinar&Dirham” thus instantly giving a broad avenue for the public to utilize their coins.

And this is just the beginning, the second phase will see introduction of features like safe-keeping facilities (wadiah) and electronic payment system to further enhance the level of customers’ convenience.

What these coins mean to Kelantanese people? They mean a lot, they mean freedom, the people now can say: “Let us choose whether we want Malaysian Ringgit, American Dollar or Kelantan Gold Dinar. You can tell us that your money is better than the other but let us decide whether we want it or not”.

During the ceremony of opening the box with the very first minted coins – they will be auctioned to numismatists – Prof. Umar Vadillo, CEO of Kelantan Golden Trade, state company in charge of implementing the Shariah currency in the state of Kelantan, said: “This is the first time in the last 100 years when an Islamic government minted dinars and dirhams in such a large denomination range. And these coins are also unique because they are minted in accordance with the new standard of WIM, it has improved design and security features. The arrival of these coins mark the end of 100-year old Darurah of tolerating the injustice of paper money, from now on Darurah is over, at least for people in Kelantan”.

“These coins are of the highest quality among all dinars and dirhams I have seen so far. Now we are confident to offer to public the circulation coins of top standard and hope they’ll realize that this is the real money. In fact the demand for these coins even before they arrived was so high that I see no problem in marketing them; what I am looking at is the next step – creation of merchants network that will accept dinar&dirham from public as payment for goods and services”, - said Mohamad Faisal Mohamad Nor, the Founder and Director of Nubex Sdn Bhd. Nubex company will be the sole distributor of the new Kelantan dinars and dirhams in Kuala Lumpur, they would also provide safe-keeping service at the cheapest rate.

"The liberation of Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Pattani, Mindanao, Sulu is starting now, from Kelantan! No more blaming others, we have to turn to Allah and His Deen!" - said Captain Hajj Awaludin Mohal, honorary advisor of Muamalah Council Malaysia.

Among many people being happy and excited this morning one woman was very quiet, she had feelings that no one could possibly have: for her this historic morning of June,8 was the confirmation of the formula “La Hawla wa la Quwwata illa Billah” with which she started this whole journey back in 2005 when she single-handedly proposed the introduction of Gold Dinar to the government of Kelantan. It was often a lonely journey – a little woman trod a path which nobody walked through before. But she kept on going and going as she believed the journey itself is worthwhile regardless its outcome. It is because of the Taqwa of this one woman that the Sunna Money has now arrived to Kelantan. Madam NIK MAHANI MOHAMAD, you will be remembered by generation after generation as the one who lit up the first candle in the complete darkness of Malaysia.

KOTA BHARU, 12 Ogos: Selepas empat tahun Dinar Kelantan dilancarkan, hari ini di di bawah kepemimpinan ulama sekali lagi dicetus sejarah apabila melancar pula matawang syariah, Dinar dan Dirham Kelantan.

Majlis bersejarah itu disempurnakan Menteri Besar, Tuan Guru Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat di Kelantan Trade Centre (KTC).

Program sempena Ramadan tersebut dianjurkan bersama Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan dan Kelantan Golden Trade Sdn Bhd.

Pada majlis perasmian terbabit Menteri Besar melakukan gimik pelancaran dengan menyimpan dinar dan dirham ke dalam sebuah mesin untuk simpanan Tabung Haji.

Matawang Dinar dan Dirham Kelantan boleh digunakan untuk pembayaran gaji, zakat, mas kahwin dan perniagaan.

Pada 2006 kerajaan negeri melancarkan Dinar Kelantan dalam tiga bentuk iaitu satu dinar penuh berukuran 23 mm dengan berat 4.25 gm bernilai RM332.25.

Selain itu separuh dinar bersaiz 20 mm (1.06 gm) bernilai RM176.76) dan suku dinar bersaiz 21 mm (0.5 gm) bernilai RM99.38.

Kini nilaian dinar tersebut sudah meningkat berbanding ketika dilancarkan. Dinar tersebut mendapat sambutan menggalakkan untuk simpanan nilai dan mas kahwin.

Pada majlis pelancaran itu, sejumlah RM100,000 telah dibeli orang ramai.
